General:

Students on this 3-year ordinary degree course provided by Athlone Institute of Technology spend two weeks in each of their first two years at Gurteen College.

Gurteen's excellent residential and practical facilities and large commercial farm give them an opportunity to gain hands-on experience of large animal handling and relate veterinary theory to practice.

Subject requirements:

One science subject at Grade D3 in Higher Level or Grade B3 in Ordinary Level;

Four further subjects at Grade D3 in Ordinary Level, which must include:

Mathematics

English or Irish.
