Show Jumping Perpetual Cup

Congratulations to Gurteen Equine Students who brought the Perpetual Cup back to Gurteen today 28th January2010.

 

The first placed team of Adrain Brannelly (Ballinasloe),

Orna Casey (Mallow), Mikayala Costello (Ballinasloe) and

Lisa Helbert (Castlerea) had the only clear round in the

team showjumping competition against Kildalton College.

 

 

 

Vanessa Lynch won the jump-off for 2nd place for Gurteen

team Leah: Katie-Ann Grendon (Straffan), Eithne O’Connor

(Tralee), Vanessa Lynch (Ballinasloe) and Michael O’Toole

(Clarinbridge).

 

 

 

3rd place went to Kildalton Team Yellow: Traloc Dinnean,

Donna Coady, Ashley O’Reilly and Ciara King.

 

 

 

4th and 5th place went to Gurteen and 6th to Kildalton.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Gurteen students, riders and non-riders, must be congratulated on their efficiency in organising the competition and turning the horses out to a high standard. All the work was done with ease and good humour. The riders showed their expertise in being able to get the best out of their horses when jumping.

 

Overall a very successful day, the weather held up and spirits were high.
