Gurteen College is pleased to announce a deal with New Holland, through the agency of Billy Shaw(of W R Shaw Ltd), to replace 5 of the college tractor fleet with New Holland Models ranging from 70 to 140hp.  This will significantly enhance the practical learning experience at the college, where students are always encouraged to take a full part in all farming activities.

The tractors will be replaced annually for the next 5 years so that all students will be aware of the latest machinery technology.

Several older basic tractors have also been retained so that young people learning to drive farm machinery can do so without feeling overawed.  This gives the ideal balance between beginner and experienced tractor operatives, and the ability of all students in the future will be assessed

on this fleet of tractors.
